August 2020 CTC-RI Clinical Strategy Committee Meeting
CTC-RI Clinical Strategy Committee – The committee met on August 21 to discuss CSC-endorsed projects and to review 2 UnitedHealthcare (UHC) tools. Susanne Campbell, CTC-RI Senior Project Director shared updates on the Pediatric Immunization Improvement Project building on BCBSRI-funded project and the Telemedicine Collaborative building on UHC-funded project. The telehealth project announced an extended practice application deadline of August 26. Pano Yeracaris, MD MPH, CTC-RI Chief Clinical Strategist, reviewed the ongoing Care Delivery Design to maximize performance under comprehensive primary care capitation and total cost of care risk. Volunteers were solicited for a subgroup to help plan the Care Delivery Design work stream. Lastly, UHC presented their Vivify Tool and the Point of Care Assist (POCA). Svetlana Sandberg, UHC VP M&R Population Health presented their Optum tool for telehealth and home monitoring for Medicare Advantage patients. Lori Lopiccolo, UHC Performance Mgr., Mid-Atlantic and New England Regions demonstrated POCA, the version for multi-payer participation.
