Enhancing Knowledge, Confidence, and Comfort working with LGBTQ+ Youth - During our first session of this project, we reviewed the project goals and deliverables, welcomed practices, and had our first content session on LGBTQ+ Youth 101: The Basics.

Diabetes Pharmacy Learning Collaborative - During our recent learning collaborative, practices highlighted pharmacy-led interventions to improve diabetes care, including data-driven workflows, and facilited discussions on tackling medication access barriers under new Medicare rules.

CVD Learning Collaborative - During this recent Learning Collaborative, practice consultants shared updates on community health programs and data tools, and highlighted progress in using Z-codes and social needs screening to better support patients, while practice facilitators introduced care planning as the next focus area.

Clinical Strategy Committee Meeting: 

Amidst a primary care crisis impacting Rhode Islanders’ access to care and driving institutional fragility, the Clinical Strategy Committee hosted a panel discussion to explore the present and future state of transformation and sustainability efforts across the system. Other points of dialogue included the impacts on staff recruitment and retention, payment reform and looking ahead toward actions to stabilize and strengthen primary care.

Moderated by CTC-RI’s new Executive Director, John Minichiello, the panel included Dr. Ana Tuya Fulton (Integra & Care New England), Dr. Peter Hollmann (Brown Medicine), Dr. Edward McGookin (Brown Health Medical Group), Elena Nicolella (RIHCA) and Dr. Thomas Warcup (RIPCPC).
