In an important step toward improving early diagnosis and care for children with autism, the Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island (CTC-RI), with funding from UnitedHealthcare and Rhode Island Department of Health, has launched a new initiative to train pediatric and family medicine providers in the early identification of autism and developmental delays. In July, CTC-RI's Patricia Flangan, MD and Elizabeth Lange, MD hosted the "Improving Child Health in RI" meeting focused on vaccine-preventable diseases and vaccine hesitancy with a presentation by Michael Koster, MD FAAP. Dr.
CTC-RI held a virtual Adult Immunization Learning Collaborative in June as part of a nine-month quality improvement initiative funded by the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH).
Practices Completed the CTC-RI “Best Practices in Addressing Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in Primary Care Quality Improvement Initiative”

The mission of CTC-RI is to support the continuing transformation of primary care in Rhode Island as the foundation of an ever-improving integrated, accessible, affordable, and equitable health care system. CTC-RI brings together critical stakeholders to implement, evaluate and spread effective multi-payer models to deliver, pay for and sustain high-quality, comprehensive, accountable primary care.
