Integrating Medication-Assisted Treatment and Primary Care Summit

Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island and Providence Community Health Centers are co-hosting the "Integrating Medication-Assisted Treatment and Primary Care Summit" on September 27 from 7:30-11:30am. This event will have Keynote Speaker: Colleen T. LaBelle, MSN, RN-BC, CARN from Boston Medical Center, and Program Director for the State Technical Assistance Treatment Expansion Office-Based Opioid Treatment with Buprenorphine. Colleen will be discussing lessons learned and opportunities for primary care enhancements in delivering medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for addiction disorders. Other highlights of this event include opening remarks from Rebecca Boss, MA, Director RI Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH); Lessons Learned from Nurse Care Managers;  discussing what we've learned in RI by implementing Nurse Care Managers to support medication-assisted treatment; and hearing from specialty MAT providers on how to more collaboratively integrate MAT with primary care. Please see the agenda for the day at the Tech Collective, Rising Sun Mills Building 3, 188 Valley St, Providence. Registration is free, but all are welcome with this meeting being offered in lieu of CTC-RI's regular September NCM meeting (9/17/19).
