PCMH-Kids Co-Chair Dr. Lange Featured in Governor's Weekly Education Forum

As the state looks toward reopening schools, Rhode Island is putting public health first and relying on facts and science to make the best decisions for the mental, physical, and intellectual needs of students. Students benefit enormously from in-person learning, and it's important the state can make school happen in-person safely. Governor Raimondo and Education Commissioner Infante-Green are holding weekly Facebook forums every Thursday at 3pm to talk with experts about our plan to reopen Rhode Island's schools. The July 23 Forum included Dr. Elizabeth Lange, PCMH-Kids co-chair and former President of the RI Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Watch their wide-ranging discussion about the ways in which COVID-19 impacts young people, the impacts of in-person learning on students' development, and the importance of social, mental, physical, and nutritional health.
