CTC-RI Completes ECHO Training and Lays Groundwork for Asthma and Pediatric Weight Management ECHO Learning Sessions
With support from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), CTC-RI received training in the ECHO model learning framework. Focusing on an “all teach, all learn” model, ECHO focuses on bringing together clinicians and community members to engage in a virtual community where they share support, guidance and feedback while learning best practices for quality care and problem-solving case examples together.
Over the course of 4 training sessions in May, approximately 25 team members, partners and community providers received training and worked to lay the foundational work for CTC-RI’s first 2 ECHO’s focused on asthma and pediatric weight management. Partners included members from RIDOH, University of RI, Brown University, Providence Community Health Centers, and Lifespan. CTC-RI is planning to launch both the asthma and pediatric weight management ECHOs by the 4th quarter of 2022.
