Virtual PCMH Kids Coffee Break with Pat and Beth

Given the unique circumstances that primary care practices have been facing during the COVID-19 pandemic, Virtual Coffee Break with Pat and Beth, a 30-minute check-in with PCMH Kids practices, replaced the normally scheduled April 2 PCMH Kids Stakeholder meeting. The open format of the meeting allowed practices to share challenges and best practice solutions. The meeting was accompanied by a PCMH Kids update. Given the success of this format, Virtual PCMH Kids Coffee Break with Pat and Beth will be continued for May and June. This monthly forum will be used to check-in on sustainability efforts, best practice sharing and discussions on changing needs of children and families that are impacted by social distancing and financial challenges. The meetings will continue with an open discussion agenda using Zoom.

Pediatric Integrated Behavioral Health Quarterly Learning Network Best Practice Sharing Meeting

On April, 9, CTC-RI / PCMH Kids held a Pediatric IBH learning collaborative meeting and extended the invitation to include pediatric practices that are funded by Rhode Island Foundation, Tufts Health Plan and Integra. Rhode Island Foundation Cohort 2 Pediatric IBH practices joined the learning community as they are starting the program in April 2020. Rhode Island Foundation Cohort 1 Pediatric IBH practices and Integra Pediatric practices reported out on their screening results and shared successes and challenges they were experiencing. Most practices are on-track to meet their screening targets. Content expert, Antra Bami, psychiatrist currently working at the Hasbro Pedi Partial program, and Dr. Plante, psychologist and Director of Pedi IBH presented on the topic of somatic complaints.
