CTC-RI Presents to Brown University Medical Student Classes
Debra Hurwitz, MBA, BSN, RN, CTC-RI Executive Director and Pano Yeracaris MD MPH, Chief Clinical Strategist teamed up to present to the Health Systems Science II course of the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University on February 25. They were able to share CTC-RI’s impact across the state and the latest data on “Integrated Comprehensive Primary Care: Model Expansion and Payment.” The virtual class explored CTC-RI’s major initiatives in the realms of the patient-centered medical home, integrated behavioral health, and community health teams. Empowering the future clinicians with CTC-RI’s experience in improving health in the RI community and beyond was both exciting and gratifying by offering such hope through science, technology, compassion and collaboration. On March 29, the two teamed up again to be part of a panel discussion on comprehensive primary care payment reform and community health for the first-year class of the joint MD/Masters in Population Health program.
