Final Webinar in Demographic Data Collection Pilot Train-the-Trainer Series
In March, CTC-RI held the sixth and final session of the Train-the-Trainer series for the Demographic Data Collection Pilot focused on participant sharing. Participating practices engaged in lively discussions centered around what they have learned from the pilot project. Practices shared insights into the utilization of funds from their Technical Enhancement applications such as translation services, posters, laminated scripts, and demo forms by RIPCPC, while The Center for Primary & Specialty Care invested in dual headsets and training binders, and Concilio Pediatrics acquired a Microsoft Surface Tablet to assist with patient intake forms. Practices also shared how they have implemented changes to policies, workflows, and training. East Bay Community Action revealed insights from a manual audit conducted by their QI Department, which highlighted areas for improvement in demographic data accuracy. Meanwhile, The Miriam Hospital Medical Clinic discussed their efforts in developing staff training, collaborating with community agencies to enhance training effectiveness. The session concluded with an open discussion on themes such as addressing patient and family concerns when soliciting REL and SOGI information in both adult and pediatric practices, as well as fostering collaborative problem-solving and knowledge exchange. The session was a success, and a sincere thanks is extended to our funders from EOHHS and all participating practices for their dedication and contributions to this project.
