The RI Maternal Psychiatry Resource Network (RI MomsPRN) Program funded by the RI Department of Health, in partnership with CTC-RI, hosted our quarterly learning collaborative meeting this month which included a presentation by Mary Velasquez, PhD on alcohol use in perinatal women. Participating practices reported on their progress in implementing universal screening of their perinatal patient population. Behavioral health clinicians from Women & Infants Hospital, including specialized psychiatrists, psychologists, and resource and referral specialists, are available for clinical consultation regarding behavioral health diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication safety and can also provide resource and referral support to community-based treatment and support services.
