Physician Consultant

Dr. Miller is an experienced physician leader with a passion for improving health outcomes in primary care.   She received her MD from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.  After completing her internal medicine residency in the primary care track at Brown University, Dr. Miller chose a career in primary care for women with a special interest in medical problems in pregnancy.  She went on to serve as Director of the Obstetric Medicine Division at Women & Infants Hospital where she led both an in-patient and out-patient  consultative service.   In 2011, Dr. Miller founded, designed and built an innovative, multi-disciplinary women’s health practice, the Women’s Medicine Collaborative (WMC), for Lifespan.  She served as WMC’s Medical Director until 2024 and as Chief of Women’s Services for the Lifespan Physician Group from 2015-2024.  In Dr. Miller's most recent role, she served as Medical Director of Primary Care at Providence Community Health Centers and has been an active participant in community initiatives to identify gaps in care for men and women in RI.   She is the recipient of multiple teaching awards and is a highly rated speaker for national organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.  For almost three decades, Dr. Miller’s career in academic medicine and clinical innovation has focused on creating conditions that allow  patients, families, providers and staff to thrive and she looks forward to continuing her work with CTC-RI.

The mission of CTC-RI is to support the continuing transformation of primary care in Rhode Island as the foundation of an ever-improving integrated, accessible, affordable, and equitable health care system.  CTC-RI brings together critical stakeholders to implement, evaluate and spread effective multi-payer models to deliver, pay for and sustain high-quality, comprehensive, accountable primary care.
