Medicaid Pediatric Healthcare Recovery Program Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Learning Sessions
May’s Behavioral Health Technical Assistance learning session focused on Behavior Plan Basics, where participants learned about the core elements of effective behavior plans as well as common pitfalls and why behavior plans fail. Sample behavior plans and behavior contracts that support healthy routines in older children were shared (e.g. sleep, managing electronics). Liz Cantor and Sarah Hagin tag-teamed the learning session and offered the following helpful Behavior Plan resources:
Practices participating in the Medicaid Pediatric Healthcare Recovery Program are eligible for additional funding by having at least 1 staff member attend 1 of the BH TA learning sessions and complete an evaluation by May 31. Additionally practice team members that were unable to attend any of the live zoom sessions, can listen to the session recordings and complete the evaluation forms. Attendance at the TA sessions or listening to the recording together with completing the evaluation will meet the Medicaid Pediatric Healthcare Recovery Program requirements. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are available through the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) by completing the evaluation.
