PCMH Kids Stakeholders: COVID in RI with special guest Dr. Alexander-Scott
Our PCMH Kids January Stakeholder meeting focused on the tremendous work being done by primary care and the RI pediatric community to meet the needs of children and families impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. Drs. Flanagan and Lange kicked off the meeting by recognizing Dr. Clyne’s dedication and years of service with the RI Department of Health. Ellen Amore from KIDSNET presented COVID vaccine data and highlighted the outstanding work in providing children and adolescents with COVID-19 vaccines and improving childhood immunization rates to pre-COVID levels. Dr. Beata Nelken and Carrie Bridges shared the work continuing in the Central Falls and Providence communities to address COVID. Dr. Alexander-Scott thanked the group for their efforts and answered questions from the audience. Presentation can be found here.
Mark your calendars, as Virtual Coffee Breaks with Drs. Flanagan and Lange continue, February 3 and March 3, 7:30-8:00AM. These are meant to be informal opportunities to touch base, share and learn from each other. Come with your breakfast drink of choice. Slippers allowed.
