55 Practices Apply for State's Pediatric Relief Fund

Announced by Governor Raimondo on July 3, 55 pediatric/family medicine practices applied for the Pediatric Relief Fund. Drs. Pat Flanagan and Beth Lange are members of the Pediatric Subcommittee to provide the Governor with guidance on the urgent need to make available financial relief for pediatricians that have experienced financial hardship during COVID-19 and the urgent need to assist children and families with immunization and lead screening catch-up support. Compared to last year, the doses of vaccine administered between March and June of 2020 have decreased by 27% and lead screening has decreased by 51% compared to the same period in 2019 (June 2020 KIDSNET data).
