Medical Legal Partnership Boston Provides Community Health Teams with Legal Consultation

The CTC-RI Community Health Teams were able to receive legal consultation on complex client cases from Jeannine Casselman, JD from Medical Legal Partnership Boston (MLPB) on June 12. Client cases varied from undocumented legal status to housing conditions and evictions. Jeannine was able to provide expert legal advice and guide our teams in the right direction. MLBP has compiled a "Digital Digest" of COVID-19 resources that have been helpful to CHT staff members. This Digest has resources that describe what legal developments mean for people and the health ecosystem workforces who partner with them and spotlights key federal (nation-wide) themes in resources, benefits and legal protections as well as state-specific information for Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where MLPB does extensive work.
