CTC-RI/PCMH Kids 2020 Clinician Well-Being Survey Results
CTC-RI and PCMH Kids programs recognize the importance of clinician and care team well-being. We deployed a Clinician Well-Being Survey for the 3rd consecutive year to help inform our collective efforts to improve provider burnout. We continue to collaborate with the Primary Care Physician Advisory Committee of the RI Department of Health to address burnout. CTC actively participated in the Transition of Care workgroup led by RIDOH and EOHHS to improve hospital and ED communication with community-based providers. Survey results continue to reveal high levels of burnout with over 50% indicating persistent or significant burnout. There has been an increase in job satisfaction with 72% indicating satisfaction with their job despite the high levels of burnout. Improving the prior authorization process with health plans and practices is a new area of focus we anticipate in the coming year.
