Opioid treatment expert connects with RI providers
On January 17, CTC hosted two trainings by Colleen Labelle, MSN, RN-BC, CARN, Director of Boston Medical Center's Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) program. The first training was for nurse care managers involved with medication-assisted treatment for addiction disorders. Through funding from the RI Dept.
CTC launches pilot program to improve collaboration between primary care and specialists
The American College of Physicians and CTC have entered into a pilot program as they work together to offer RI primary care and specialty practices the opportunity to enroll and participate in ACP's High-Value Care Collaborative (HVCC) Learning Program.

CTC practices highlighted at International Conference on Practice Facilitation
Suzanne Herzberg PhD, MS, OTR/L, Director of Transformation at Brown Primary Care Initiative, presented at the International Conference on Practice Facilitation Tampa, FL in December. Her presentation looked at how practices can use NCQA as a framework to improving care delivery, beginning with staff communication and structure, and pointed to two CTC sites as examples.
