CTC-RI is committed to supporting healthcare workforce development efforts across disciplines. Recently, a Primary Care Provider Workforce Development Committee was established, co-chaired by Drs. Jeffrey Borkan and Denise Coppa. This committee currently is drafting a strategic plan for its work.

CTC-RI is excited to announce our Annual Conference second keynote speaker: Scott Conard, MD, DABFP, FAAFM, CEO, Converging Health. Board-certified in family and integrative medicine, Dr. Conard has been seeing patients for over 35 years and was a UTHSCD Associate Clinical Professor for 21 years.
Twelve months ago, seven primary care practices joined our second Health Transitions of Care learning collaborative to improve transitions from pediatric to adult health care. In May, they presented at the final quarterly meeting to share their experience, patient success stories, discuss sustainability, and next steps.
In May, CTC-RI hosted the first Care Coordination ECHO session on Entitlement to Eligibility with funding and support from the Rhode Island Department of Health. This was the first session of our seven-session series that focuses on strategies to improve care coordination for families with young adults with special healthcare needs transitioning from pediatric to adult care.
