July Updates from the CTC-RI Clinical Strategy Committee
The Committee met on July 17 to discuss two specific topics: The UnitedHealthcare-sponsored Telemedicine Project and the RI Roadmap to Successful Comprehensive Primary Care Capitation. There will be 2 phases to the Primary Care Telemedicine Project from July 2020 through December 2021: 1.) Telemedicine Practice/Patient Needs Assessment and 6-Month ECHO Learning Webinar Series and 2.) Pilot Telemedicine Learning Collaborative.
The recruitment strategy was presented by Susanne Campbell, CTC-RI Senior Project Director, and Stephanie De Abreu, UHC Manager, State Regulatory Affordability Programs. The Committee also explored the CTC-RI Comprehensive Primary Care Roadmap drafted by Pano Yeracaris, MD MPH, CTC-RI Chief Clinical Strategist. The Roadmap included the proposed vision, goals, work streams, delivery models, and what might need to be modified at this time. Supporting material included the recent and timely Milbank Memorial Fund publication: "How Payment Reform Could Enable Primary Care to Respond to COVID-19."
