PCMH Kids Stakeholder Meeting

On June 4, CTC-RI / PCMH Kids hosted a virtual PCMH Kids Stakeholder meeting. Drs. Flanagan and Lange recognized and applauded PCMH Kids Cohort 2 for completing their 3-year contract and reviewed their accomplishments while in the program, especially noting that all 9 practices have been successful in achieving NCQA PCMH recognition. PCMH Kids Cohort 3 practices were congratulated for their list of accomplishments as they completed their first year in the program. Pat and Beth reviewed OHIC's recommendation for "reporting only" on Clinical Quality Measures based on the impact COVID-19 has had on the ability of practices to provide preventive care. Consistent with OHIC's recommendations, CTC/PCMH Kids has proposed to the health plans an alternative incentive payment option for PCMH Kids Cohort 3 practices. The proposed incentive payment option would provide practices with payment for meeting measles, mumps and rubella (M-M-R) immunization threshold for school-age children with details outlined in the presentation June PCMH Kids Stakeholder presentation; OHIC-EOHHS Preventive Care Visits Guidance; KIDSNET Reference Guide; KIDSNET Reports for School Readiness.

Dr. Liz Cantor reviewed the Pediatric IBH Pilot program's progress, to date with practices reflecting on how helpful it has been to have IBH available within the practice, especially during the pandemic. Drs. Flanagan and Lange wrapped up the meeting by reviewing other pediatric learning collaborative opportunities that will occur in 2020-2021 and reminding practices about the RIPIN Family Care Liaison resource that is available to assist practices and families.
