CTC-RI Clinical Strategy Committee Supports State's COVID-19 Response
The Clinical Strategy Committee (CSC) meetings have moved to the first and third Fridays of the month starting in May. At the request of OHIC, Medicaid, and the Governor's COVID-19 Task Force, CTC-RI has used this group to help craft a set of recommendations to improve short- and long-term responses to the emergency. One specific effort involves working with the co-convener to help accelerate multi-payer primary care capitation across the state. Through the CSC, CTC-RI is developing a proposal to finalize the delivery and payment for "RI Model of comprehensive primary care." Areas that have been identified as immediate needs include financial stability for primary care practices (particularly community pediatrics), the need to expand on the consistent statewide approach to telemedicine, and improvement in pediatric immunization rates.
