Addressing Alcohol Use Disorder in Primary Care Think Tank Series
The 5th session of the Addressing Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) in Primary Care Think Tank was held in January. Nelly Burdette, PsyD, CTC-RI Chief Clinical Officer, led the meeting in recapping themes from previous sessions looking at the scope of the issue in RI, the significance of emergency department and inpatient visits, and key linkages with peer recovery coaches and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs). The session finished with participants voicing their recommendations at potential pilot areas of focus for content, training options, population categories, methods of delivery, policy, and community organizations to include. (Session recording, session slides, previous recordings, and previous slides.) Final recommendations about pilot next steps will be made at the Clinical Strategy Committee meeting on February 21, 7:30am.
