Community Health Team Staff Participate in Legal Training For Persons With Disabilities and Their Caregivers

CTC-RI supports the advancement of skills for Community Health Team (CHT) staff and is able to support both in-person and online trainings on various topics. On January 21, CHT staff were able to participate in the "Legal Protections for Persons with Disabilities and their Caregivers" webinar training. 

This training was presented by Jeannine Casselman, JD, Legal Advisor of Medical Legal Partnership Boston, and reviewed the legal protections that can support the continuity of care for people with disabilities or serious illness. Jeannine touched on the different benefits and legal protections that can help caregivers to relieve caregiver stress which directly impacts their health. A listing of resources was provided for CHT staff to access if more information was needed.
