Pediatric Practices Oriented to Integrated Behavioral Health Program
On July 11, CTC-RI and PCMH Kids officially welcomed the 8 pediatric primary care practice sites to the Pediatric Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Learning Collaborative program. These practices collectively provide care for approximately 40,000 children and families and have an average Medicaid population of 52% with some sites as high as 80-90%.
Dr. Liz Cantor is the pediatric psychologist who is providing the on-site practice facilitation for the practices and facilitating their quarterly learning network sessions. At the July 11 orientation, Dr. Cantor provided an overview of pediatric IBH and how it differs from adult IBH. This program is funded by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, through the Rhode Island Foundation Behavioral Health Fund, Tufts Health Plan and UnitedHealthcare.
