Quarterly Breakfast of Champions Learning Session
In keeping with promoting the quadruple aim which emphasizes the importance of improving clinical and care team well-being, the May 10 Breakfast of Champions event included a presentation by Pano Yeracaris, MD, MPH, CTC Chief Clinical Strategist, on the results from the CTC and PCMH Kids Well-Being Survey responses (2019 CTC Clinician Well-Being Survey Results). Nicolas S. Nguyen, MD, Director of Physician Experience and Provider Development, Beth Israel Deaconess, Clinical Instructor Harvard Medical School and Teamwork 101: Core Skills for Effective Collaboration, spoke on his experiences with Combating Clinician Burnout with Community-Building using a three-pronged approach of leadership training, community building and targeted interventions looking at clinician's needs based on levels of experience. Phillip G. Clark, PhD, Professor and Director, Program in Gerontology and RI Geriatric Education Center, University of Rhode Island, and Co-author of Healthcare Teamwork: Interprofessional Practice and Education provided an overview of what is needed in creating and sustaining high-functioning teams.
