SBIRT Screeners Participate in Refresher Training

On February 6, Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) screeners from CTC-RI Community Health Teams were able to participate in the SBIRT Refresher Training presented by Taylor D'Addario, SBIRT Manager at The Providence Center. Attendees were able to learn why SBIRT reassessments and follow-ups are important, how to integrate follow-up into their workflow, and techniques and sources of information to locate clients. Taylor stressed the significance of these follow-ups for not only the well-being of the client, but also for grant funding. SBIRT sites were also given the opportunity to pick up SBIRT gift cards to incentivize their clients.
